Wine Spectator Insider  (11/17)

Bodegas Caro was born of an alliance between two wine cultures, (French and Argentine), two noble grape varieties, (Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec), and two renowned wine families, (Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) and Nicolas Catena.) This merge of wine industry icons bore a beautiful product showcasing a balance between their Bordeaux and Argentine styles. To celebrate its Andean origin, the wine was named Amancaya, after the mountain flower which grows wild in the Andes.

BODEGAS CARO 2007 AMANCAYA

WINE SPECTATOR 90 POINTS -  This wine is 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Malbec. A deep purple-red color is the first impression of this fruit driven wine, with appealing red and black cherries flavors, black plums, a hint of mint and cedar. On the palate it has a nice tannic round texture. Distinct notes of vanilla & chocolate.

$15.99 750ml [380673]
